The Home Series
The Home Series is an ongoing artistic project, which uses poetry and creative writing to capture the stories and memories of community groups, in the places they call home.
Katie works with communities, including young people and schools in a series of creative writing workshops, an gathers the work into a finished zine for each person to have a copy. The zine is also distributed across the community to be accessed for free at various locations including local libraries.

There are 3 collections in this project so far:
Home in Solihull

'Home in Solihull' is a collection of stories, memories, poetry and musings written by communities across Solihull to celebrate the iconic town and the people in it.
These pieces were written in response to a series of creative writing workshops, led by Katie Holtom.
Some works have also been submitted independently.

This zine was launched on 9th February 2023, as part of the launch of The core Creatives Hub in Solihull. It was joined by 20 other commissioned projects that celebrated arts and culture in the region.

This book has been funded by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council as part of their Small is Beautiful Commissions
