Announcing the 2nd book in the series celebrating areas across the West Midlands
Katie has been funded by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council as part of their Small is Beautiful commissions to curate and edit a creative writing zine that celebrates the Solihull Borough and its people.
'Home in Solihull' will present a collection of stories, poetry, memories and musings co-written by Solihull communities of all ages and developed through a series of creative writing workshops lead by Katie. Independent submissions are also being accepted for the zine.
The new book will be showcased at the launch of the Core Creatives hub in Solihull on 9th February 2023 alongside the 16 other commissioned artists, and will be available at the Solihull Library following that.
'Home in Solihull' follows on from the success of 'This is Our Home', which celebrates the iconic town of Dudley, commissioned by Creative Black Country in 2022
