The Magical Adventures of Super Singh

The Magical Adventures of Super Singh is a new pilot project from Curl Girl Productions CIC, an actress-led theatre company celebrating South Asian identity through bold and community-driven storytelling.

The project is produced by Katie, who is overseeing the coordination, planning and delivery of the pilot, working closely with Artistic Director Kiren Jogi, Sandwell Libraries, and facilitator Sohan Kailey.

This pilot brings together young children across Sandwell through six interactive workshops held in local libraries. Each session encourages children to explore what it means to be “different” and to express pride in their cultural identity. Their ideas and experiences will directly influence the narrative of the play, allowing them to become co-creators in the story of Super Singh - a hero who celebrates his heritage and individuality.

The learning and material generated during this pilot will inform the full production of The Magical Adventures of Super Singh, which is planned to tour schools and community spaces across the Midlands next year.
