WAT Music Celebration
Arts Connect's Arts Ambassador School Network programme brought established school networks together to develop teachers as arts leaders (i.e. Arts Ambassadors), and to achieve an Artsmark as part of a whole-network focussed programme on the arts.
Katie was the network Coordinator and Programme Producer for 3 of these large scale school programmes: University of Wolverhampton Multi Academy Trust (UWMAT), CADMUS Family of Schools and Windsor Academy Trust (WAT)
UWMAT was a collection of 12 schools across Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall and Staffordshire, who worked with Flexus Dance Collective to explore the theme 'Breaking Boundaries - Anything is Possible', also tying into Flexus' #WeArePowerful campaign.
The Windsor Academy Trust worked with 2 music artists, Paul Wilcox and Gaby Songui to develop a Musical Celebration that brought together over 500 students from 9 schools. They performed at the grand Walsall Arena & Arts Centre in Walsall.
CADMUS worked with dance artist Mark Anderson to explore the theme 'Who Are We? Celebrating diversity and difference' with 5 primary schools in Walsall.
