The Green Man

After a summer of unprecedented weather, and heightened public concern about the climate, The Fleece Inn and National Trust worked together to transform a historic pub, The Fleece Inn, into a space dedicated to conversations about climate change.

The Green Man is a name given to the many carvings across Britain and Northern Europe… He is an emblem of the birth-death-rebirth cycle of the natural year… And a reminder that the superior force of nature over human enterprise, that nature will, consume us all

- Nina Lyon

The week long program of events included talks, climate comedy, folk singers, low carbon alcohol tasting and more, and invited everyone from the local community to get involved.
